Monitor brand mentions by setting up alerts using tools like Mention or BuzzSumo, and adding keywords related to your brand or products. Just make sure you exclude any mentions from your own website within the alert, which you can do in these tools' settings.
Just to be clear, SEMRush won’t give you absolute traffic numbers — if that’s what you’re looking for, turn to SimilarWeb or Quantcast. SEMRush is best when you only care about search traffic and you want to compare search traffic patterns between sites. For that, SEMRush tends to be the most accurate.
My questions is: in 2017, how can anyone still say all of this is worth it? Sure, many got big by leveraging on questionable and allowed practices in the last 10 years.
